The 7th edition of the Hosts and Federations Summit takes place at the emblematic Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. Organised by Major Events International (MEI) from 17 to 20 June 2024, the event will bring together experts, host cities and the sports industry for meetings, discussions and collaborations around major sporting events. The Summit aims to strengthen connectivity between those involved in hosting and organising large events.
Ryder Cup 2023 in Rome: Citec shares its experience
Stefano Manelli, Citec Large Events Manager, will attend the event as a speaker and will share feedback and insights on mobility planning for the 2023 Ryder Cup. Specialist in Large events, he has intervened from the candidature to the operational deployment of over 30 major international events in about fifteen countries. The Ryder Cup 2023, held in Rome, attracted over 250,000 spectators from more than 90 countries to the Golf National. Citec the event’s transportation and mobility plan, through close collaboration with the authorities, developed a model of spectator demand, supervised the operational coordination and setting up of the exchange hubs, and acted as an intermediary between accredited clients and the bus operator. These efforts contributed to the smooth running of the Ryder Cup 2023, ensuring fluid and efficient mobility, thereby demonstrating Citec’s expertise in managing large-scale events.
